The Imaging Specialist IV MRI position is responsible for independently performing clinical diagnostics MRI exams in accordance with department protocols. This position requires ARRT (MR) or AMRIT certification. Two years of independent MRI experience is required. Experienced with GE MRI systems and EPIC is preferred.
This position will routinely work 4 ten hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. At least one on call shift is required per week. Work schedules may vary depending on staffing and operational needs.
Education: Successful completion of an accredited program in MRI with a certificate or associate degree, or equivalent or completion of ARRT advanced registry in MRI.
Experience: One (1) year of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologist experience which demonstrated the ability to perform clinical diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging and other procedures associated with the production of MRI images utilizing standard or modified imaging techniques in accordance with physician’s ordered procedures, protocols and quality standards.
Certification: A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in MR (advanced qualification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or a current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT). BLS is required within six months of employment.
Licensure: None required. A current State of Hawaii license in any radiologic imaging modality is highly desired.
Shifts: Shifts may vary by need. This position may work on rotating shifts, with work on weekends and holidays and may require standby and call back duty.
